This session is for people who assume data careers are out of reach. It makes the case, with a real speaker who made the switch from a non-technical background, that the barrier to entry is much lower than most job postings suggest.
Our global survey of data professionals found that 90% feel their roles are secure or only partially affected by AI. Data literacy isn't how you compete with AI. It's how you stay relevant in a workplace that runs on it.

Stephen Werny is Director, Data at geoLOGIC systems ltd., leading a 50-person team responsible for the company's core well, production, and completions databases across Western Canada and parts of the US. He has spent over 18 years at geoLOGIC in progressively senior data acquisition and operations roles.
